How to find a support group
When your trying to eat healthy and get to your weight loss goals, it’s really easy to trip up. That’s right, I’m going along with my weight loss program and I get caught on something. Trip…trip..trip…trip…face first in the dirt. This is why it’s important to have a support group that you can immidiately talk to for times like these.
Your weight loss support group can be just two people. It can be you and someone at the gym. It could be you and a co-worker. For me it’s someone online that I have met through Sparkpeople Biggest Loser At Home Team. The goal is to find someone that you can connect with when you really have urges so that you can nip it in the butt. My loss support was on vacation this week and a couple days after she left I was flat on my face in a burrito with sour cream and a dark chocolate bar.
Yes we all have our bad days when it comes to weight loss goals.
Weight Loss Tip for this post? How to find a support group.
Weight Loss Support meetings
This is great for keeping track of food or being a weekly team player. Most of the time we are unable to connect with anyone during our roughest hours. Most of the time they just want us to follow the weight loss programs they have provided and attend our weekly meeting.
Though in the past couple of years a lot of weight loss programs that have meetings have a telephone line that you can call to get support. This also includes support when you want to finish off your kids cupcakes.
Weight Loss Support online
Many weight loss programs have support teams online. I know that Weight Watchers, Sparkpeople, The Biggest Loser, and Calorie King all have an area for weight loss support.
The only problem with that kind of weight loss support is that at times you might want to talk to a person right away. When your dealing with the fact that you are fighting the craving to eat over your calories, sometimes email just doesn’t work.
Friends and family members
Anyone who has been on a weight loss program knows that sometimes this can harm or hurt you. Friends and family are really trying to support but sometimes they try to offer advice that is just not needed.
Then there are the family members who want to be on your weight loss program and they bring home things that will put half a pound of fat on your body if you eat them. Thanks a lot hubby!!
So the best weight loss tip I can give you is to find someone that is willing to help you during the really hard times. Find a weight loss buddy that knows what your program is about in regards to food. Find a weight loss friend that you can stay connected with.
Till tomorrow, My husband and I hope that you have a day of healthy eating, fun activities, and low stress on your weight loss program!

Great suggestions. Healthy eating can be really challenging alone.
