Healthy snacks from Japan

Hi everyone! I stole the computer away from my wife to tell you about some snacks that I’ve loved since my stay in Misawa, Japan.
Yes, the Amori district of northern Japan. Since my wife and I are always seeking ways to make our lives healthier, I decided to go back to the snacks of my childhood. Everyone should have a healthy daily snack that they can grab on the go.
Nutritionists say that you should eat five or six smaller healthy balanced meals each day to keep your metabolism working.
These snacks from Japan help me do that. The first is item is Edamame. My wife talked about making a healthy daily imitation potato recipe out of it. I like it just as a snack.
As a healthy balanced snack, Edamame help you save money on groceries. Edamame are only 74 calories and 2g of fat per half cup. This healthy daily snack offers 5 grams of dietary fiber, 8 grams of dietary protein, and 80mg of calcium.
I usually like to eat my Edamame steamed or tossed into a small salad.
The second item is my daily snack of Trader Joes Sticky Rice. I usually like the snack that uses a little wasabi peas to spice it up but currently I can only find the sweet and salty sticky rice snacks. It’s it’s a puffed rice snack much like a rice cake but it has a great flavor of soy sauce and honey.
My second healthy daily snack has only 110 calories and no fat for ten large crackers. Ten Sticky Rice Snack crackers offer 2% of the iron and 2g of protein that your body needs to live a healthy balanced lifestyle.
I hope that you like the products that I shared with you. Try to step out of the box when it comes to choosing healthy snacks. My wife and I are always trying new products to add to your healthy balanced weight loss program menu. Happy and healthy eating!

the snacks sure look yummy…
